Electronics students at Roboparty, in Guimarães

From March 5th to 7th, a group of students from the Electronics, Automation and Command course at EPSM were present at the 17th edition of RoboParty, which took place at the Azurém campus of the University of Minho, in Guimarães.

Considered the largest initiative of its kind in the world, RoboParty brought together around 400 participants and had the presence of 100 teams, both Portuguese and foreign.

Organized by the University of Minho, through the Automation and Robotics Laboratory, in partnership with the spin-off botnroll.com, the Algoritmi Center and the School of Engineering, RoboParty began with the delivery of kits for the construction of the robot “Bot’n Roll One A+”, followed by introductory training in electronics, programming and mechanics.

Our students faced four exciting challenges:

• Race of Champions – speed event
• Crazy Race – obstacle course
• Fun Challenge – surprise challenges
• Robot Show – stage-musical presentation

This event allowed students to experience an enriching experience, promoting teamwork and the development of technical skills in the area of robotics.
