The project aimed to increase motivation to acquire knowledge and practical skills among participants, increase the attractiveness of vocational training for students in catering courses, and acquire and develop linguistic, interpersonal and digital skills. Other opportunities included learning about the gastronomy of the partner countries, specific vocabulary and the culture of the countries involved.

The priority participants were the most disadvantaged young people, from families with fewer financial resources to get to know other countries, at risk of social exclusion. Active participation in the project allowed the young people to better position themselves in the international job market. This cooperation also allowed the exchange of experiences and pedagogical situations between teachers and non-teaching staff from the schools involved.

The organization of gastronomic workshops, processing of raw materials, preparation of delicacies and sessions on healthy eating were some of the planned activities.

The acquisition and consolidation of language skills in English, a common language for Portuguese, Romanian and Polish participants, contributed to improved communication skills. New friendships and networking in an international cooperation situation contributed to the solid development of social skills.

Throughout the project, three transnational meetings took place, in which teaching staff and students from the Salvaterra de Magos Professional School participated:

The project tasks were developed by students from the Restaurant/Bar and Kitchen/Pastry courses at EPSM, in occasional collaboration with students from other courses, whenever relevant, with the activities being developed in a classroom environment, in the context of different subjects and included in the students' assessment.
