Rita Piçarra, former CFO of Microsoft, promoted a workshop on financial literacy at EPSM

The Professional School of Salvaterra de Magos (EPSM) received   this Tuesday, January 14th, Rita Piçarra, former chief financial officer (CFO) of Microsoft, promoted a workshop on financial literacy.

During the session, held in front of a completely packed auditorium, the manager revealed how her father's premature death motivated her to draw up, at the age of 20, a career plan that would allow her to achieve financial autonomy early. This decision came true at the age of 44, when he achieved this goal and   left the job market.

In a very dynamic session, the guest answered all the questions asked by the students, explaining the decisions she made and the investments she made to guarantee her financial independence. It also promoted a practical activity aimed at CEF's 12th year and 9th year classes on savings and investment, to help students better understand how to manage their finances.

At the end of the workshop, Rita Piçarra offered EPSM her book "Life Can't Wait", which will be available to anyone who wishes to deepen the shared knowledge.
